Jason Morris

Co-Director of College Ministry

Birthday: June 28, 1974

Originally from: I grew up in Knoxville and my family moved to Chattanooga when I was in high school.

Education background:  I graduated from Red Bank High School in 1992.  I then graduated from the University of Tennessee, and currently I am a student at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Ministry background:  I have served on the staff of CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ) since 1997.  I have been a part of teams and led at the University of Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky University, and now here in Chattanooga.

I began serving at RBBC: 2007

My wife:  Jennifer and I met while working at Camp Vesper Point in college.  We were married in 1999 and have four boys. 

My role at RBBC:  Our church partnered with our college ministry in 2007 to have a bigger impact on the students of the city.

Hobbies: I like to exercise, watch and play sports, hang out with our family, and read. 

Favorite book of the Bible:  That is hard to say.  Probably wherever I am reading currently.

Books that have impacted my walk with Jesus:  Desiring God by John Piper, The Master Plan of Evangelism by Robert Coleman.  Recently I have enjoyed Paul Tripp's books on different Psalms.

Spiritual gifts:  teaching, shepherding, and leadership

How can you pray for me? 

           -Pray for a growing desire for Christ and his word.

           -Pray for a tender moldable heart. 

           -Pray for my family. 

           -Pray God would build disciples who make disciples in our outreach.
