Education background:  B.A. in Political Science from University of Tennessee-Knoxville; M.Div. in the Higher Education track from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky.

I began serving RBBC:  August 2007

My wife:  Elaine Dossett Propes is my better half and my best friend.

The other joy in my life, my kids:  Mary Elizabeth Propes and Benjamin Nathan Propes

My role at RBBC:  God has called me to RBBC to develop a culture of disciple-making where every member of our church invests into the life of one person until that person is fully engaged in the ministry of RBBC.  In turn each one who is reached, then will teach one to reach one.  Thus, this disciple-making, multiplying, and reproducing strategy will allow us to punch holes in the darkness of the lostness of our neighbors and the nations.

Personal Story: During the summer months as a young boy, I would spend time with my grandparents in Kentucky.  I had several meaningful conversations with my grandparents about spiritual things.  On one occasion, my grandmother shared with me how Jesus loved me, died on a cross for my sins, was buried and rose again on the third day.  Later that week, at the age of 12, I realized that real purpose came through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Favorite book of the Bible:  Gospel of John

Books that have impacted my walk with Jesus:  The Master Plan of Evangelism by Dr. Robert E. Coleman, Spiritual Leadership by J. Oswald Sanders and many, many more.

Most fulfilling part of ministry:  Personal disciple-making

Spiritual gifts:  Leadership, Teaching and Administration

How can you pray for me?  Pray that God will bless my personal disciple-making relationships so that we can multiply and reproduce ourselves to develop a culture of disciples who make disciples.  Pray that God will spiritually grow RBBC for His glory!
