I began serving RBBC:  November 18, 2012
My wife:  Allyson and I have been married 26 years and she is the love of my life! Allyson graduated from the University of Alabama! Roll Tide! A gifted and godly wife and mother, she demonstrates the qualities of a Proverbs 31 woman to me. Allyson has a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Mid America Seminary and loves to teach the Word as well.
My family:  We are blessed with three wonderful children.  Kimberlee married Stephen Brooks in July 2011 and they live in Birmingham, AL. Both graduated from Union University and received masters degrees at the University of Alabama. Stephen is a business major in his Junior year at Union University and serves in the student ministry at his church.  Callie just enrolled as a freshman at Chattanooga Christian School and loves to dance classical ballet. We enjoy to serving together on mission projects and our favorite vaction is the beach.
My role at RBBC: As Minister of Missions and Ministry, I serve to engage our people in making disciples that make disciples for the glory of King Jesus and the growth of His kingdom through local, national, and international missions. Also, I give senior team leadership to other ministry areas including pastoral care, lay ministry, and recreation.
Personal Story:  After growing up in a religious home, yet without Christ in my life, the gospel came alive to me during my early teen years. I was convicted by the Holy Spirit of my sinfulness and need of a Savior. By God's grace, I trusted Jesus as Savior as a freshman in high school through the influence of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Two years later I responded to God's call to full-time ministry.
Favorite book of the Bible: Romans
Books that have impacted my walk with Jesus: Radical by David Platt, A Call to Die by David Nassar, Knowing God by J.I. Packer and Shift: What it Takes to Finally Reach FamiliesToday by Brian Haynes
Most fulfilling part of ministry: Sharing the Gospel and seeing the transformation of a life when someone comes to Christ.
Spiritual gifts: Teaching, Adminstration, Exhortation
How can you pray for me? Pray for me to love my Savior first and foremost, then to love and lead my wife and family as a godly husband and father.  Pray for me to serve with wisdom and discernment as I follow the Holy Spirit's guidance.
